"I would not exchange the laughter of my heart for the fortunes of the multitudes; nor would I be content with converting my tears, invited by my agonized self, into calm. It is my fervent hope that my whole life on this earth will ever be tears and laughter."
- Kahlil Gibran

Translation:
Chi Ai, hurry up and come back to Vietnam
We miss you a lot, but we’ve just been too busy to keep in touch.
————————————————
A few weeks ago, an old friend asked, “Have you ever thought about letting [Vietnam] go?” (In reference to me coming back next year)
And honestly, while I have thought about it, it’s not something I’d be willing to give up. There are some relationships you in which you have to let go, but these relationships are not those. And me seeing them and being part of their lives on a regular basis is up to me, because I’m privileged enough to hold a passport.
So no matter what, I’m determined to come back, the latest is March 2012. Now just to devise a surefire plan in which to do it…
ps. I’ll probably be print screen happy for a while.
